Howdy guys,
Its been awhile since I posted.  Things have been going great with my bike.  She is all dressed up now with a windshield, saddle bags and brand new tires.  Put on about 2500 miles this summer.  I would have done more but work was killing me.

Anyway, Just wondering about highway pegs.  I have read you can take out an engine bolt and put the pegs directly there without an engine guard.  Can you recommend some pegs that would do the job?  I read the info on the main page about it, but I cant seem to find the pegs that are talked about there.

Any help would be great.  Thanks!!

Jennifer-

I have seen that once or twice however I don't know where they got the pegs.

With that said even the cheap pegs on my bike could be used in that fashion (mine are rings bolted onto the engine guard.

Cheers!

Another thing to consider, although it is higher priced, is to get some P-clamps, offset extensions and pegs (Kuryakyn...).  Look at the link below, note that I haven't looked for the cheapest price, just first good match.  Need to ensure that you have the right sized clamp for the Magna though.

I ran these several years ago, and they worked well for the prupose of highway pegs.  You can adjust where they are located and what the reach is, so that is nice.  I removed mine when I added forward controls and sold them to someone.

I'm still looking for 'rear sets' for my '96!
