Not too good when they are alive or playing dead.

No lie.

I've seen those shows on the python problems in the Everglades and surrounding areas.

"Guess who's coming to dinner". Whoa. Those snakes are at the top of the food chain with the alligators.

You guys will never get rid of those snakes unless someone comes up with a virus that can be spread among them.

I'm surprised they are not all over the place here in east central Texas. Too cold I guess.

I saw on the news some type of Python competition or roundup in Florida.

I think the folks are doing everything they can to check the growth of the Burmese python populations in south Florida.

Apparently around 1979 someone woke up and said, "Damn, there sure are a lot of big ass snakes here in the Everglades. I guess that explains these piles of feces with raccoon tails and deer hooves sticking out of them".

It's the right climate and the snakes have an abundant food source available. They will eat alligators that are smaller than themselves, birds, mammals, rodents, fish, just whatever. Unlike "Morris the Cat", they aren't fussy eaters. If they can get it in their mouth, it's lunch (kinda like teenagers).

They have discovered that the southeast USA is a really good place to live. Before you know it, they will be signed up for government assistance compliments of the wild animal snake huggers. 8-)

The "return" throttle cable broke at the switch assembly.  I'll get a picture later and post it.  As far as the fix, well, I'm waiting for reinforcements, because now the isn't isn't simple pulleys and cables.

We are going to whip this thing. I need a break in my schedule/your schedule and a nice day.

Don't under-estimate the level of this snake problem. Reptiles have been around longer than us. They are right there behind cockroaches. They won't be giving it up.

Today south Florida, tomorrow, zee world!

Yeah!  If we can plan ahead far enough, I'll even try to take a day off from work.  I'm *really* fiending for good weather, wind in my hair, and my ass on my motorcycle.

Dave fixed me up.  We had the bike running yesterday, but I had to leave it at his place in pieces so I could attend a birthday dinner.  But Dave put the bike together and I rode home earlier.  Thank you Dave!
