Classic Car Drag Racing Event - excuse for a MOOT outing?

Coming this April 11th and 12th, in a town just East of Houston, there will be a classic car drag racing event. All the cars will have to be 1973 and earlier. This will be a 1/4 mile track. Admission is $15 for Saturday and $20 for Friday/Saturday. Camping is free.

Friday night will be an open "Run what you brung" category.

I probably won't have my 63 truck ready for the track, but I plan to go check out the cars.

And I was thinking it would be a great excuse for a ride. Is anyone interested?

It's a bit far for me, but that's the kind of 1/4 mile action I like. Bring on the classic muscle cars.
