Turn signal problems in cold weather

As the temperature finally drops in Texas, I am finding that the colder is gets the longer it takes for my turn signals to engage.  In cold weather the turn signal goes off for a while when selected (left or rigth) and eventually begins to blink.  In much colder weather the light will go off, but the blinking will not engage at all.

Any ideas? This is a 99 Magna with 22,000 miles.

My 96 does that as well.  Just need to open the switchbox and spray some contact cleaner or WD40 on the rocker switch.  That usually clears it up for me

I have a 99 magna & I am having the same problem but it is only my right side thats causing a problem.  Is there a separate flasher relay for each side or do they use the same one?  If the problem is with the switch itself, maybe a good cleaning and a little dielectric grease would help.

One flasher unit for both sides.  I replaced it and it did no good so I cleaned the switch contatcs and that cured the problem.
