Well guys, it finally went out.  My original battery from 2000, when the bike was bought new, finally died yesterday.  I knew it was on borrowed time, but it had become an experiment after the 4 year mark.  Only bad side is, I went out to go for a spin yesterday with the weather being so nice and couldn't go.  Guess it's time to head to the Honda dealer in Marshall to get a new one.  I can only hope to get a new one as good as the original.

Wow, I just got back from the Honda dealership, and 85 dollars lighter than before I went.  I had no idea that batteries had gone up that much, didn't even come with a reach around.  Anyway, after a good trinkle charge, I'll be back on the road.  I can only hope for another 6 year battery life span.

Six years is a long time for a MC battery. Glad to hear you are up and running again.

Too late, you jinxed it!!!!!!  If your battery is 12 years old then I would toss that sucker like a bomb!!  Hehehe and run dont walk to the battery store!!!
I usually get 4-6 years out of mine.
