Don't think I'll be able to pull the ride off to Texas, but it's fun thinking about it.

What part of WV is your sister living in?  Wife has family up in Kimball, WV, the Bluefield area, and I've been trying to figure out a way to take off up there with the family driving the mini-van.

Hope everything goes well for the the gathering.

PS:  Just realized the avator of me is actually a pic of me up at Winter Place Ski Resort in West Virginia.

She is in Fairmont, WV, just south of Morgantown.
That is the eastern point of my Iron Butt ride in September. When I left her house I headed South and went through Bluefield, down through SC heading to Atlanta and then back to Texas.
That sure was a pretty ride South.
That is a long ride.

Wow, that was a serious ride for sure.  Right before you hit the GA/SC border you were within 15 minutes of me, as I'm only about 5 miles away from  I-85.  Wish I'd had known about you coming through, I would have called a few Magna Riders from around Clemson, SC area to escort you around.

If you decide to head through the SC/GA area again, come and post at the MUFF or MRF delphi forums, and I'll try and see if I get a few others to hook up with you for some riding in the area if you want.  Some really nice twisties and then you can connect to the Blue Ridge Parkway if you wanted.

Here's a pic of Devil's Courthouse on the Blue Ridge Parkway that I took back when I first started riding on my Rebel with my friend on his Magna:

The outlook over the mountains from Devil's Courthouse (really bad overcast that day):

Another one from one of the crossroad points that all the motorcycle riders stop to gas up and chat at, that shows Table Rock.  It's a blast to see anywhere from 20 to 60 bikers that just came down out of the twisties riding around while you're drinking a soda.

Finally, one at the Highway 176 SC/NC boarder that we take up through the mountains to get up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Wish I had some better pics to show the area better, but considering I've only ridden the area three times since I learned to ride back in July, I choose to ride more and take pictures less.

Is anyone using honda's HP4 with moly I know it's a bit high but will it help the cam problem in the first gem v45? :?:

Magna 4 Me

I don't know about the first Gen Magna's, but the 3rd Gen Magna's with the wet clutch don't work too well with any oil containing Moly.  That is a friction modifier and the clutch will slip big time if you use it.

If your first Gen doesn't have a wet clutch or the service manual recommends it, go with the Moly.  Otherwise you are asking for problems.

Is to get to a twisty one.

The first gen does have a wet clutch.  Stay away from anyting with friction modifiers unless you want to do a clutch job.

I am running Rotella T dino in my first gen and have had no problems what so ever.

Now I haven't pulled the covers and looked at the cams so I can't comment about that.  I do need to do that one of these days....
