Ok. Thank You . I will try to set up the factory jets and specs. Do You know what are dhe specs. for the AFM.  How meny turns ?

A good starting place with factory setup is 1 and 3/4 or 2 turns out. Before you completely revert to factory check for stuck floats and also remove the shims since they are not needed with the e clips. Your jet kit should be a nice improvement in throttle response when your bike is running good. I would probably replace the floats since they have to seal "just right" in order to work you could replace them on the cylinders that were blowing gas.

Pull one of the diaphragms with needle, this can be done without pulling carbs.  Right rear is easy to get at.  Take a PIC for us so we can see what ya got.

If you did the needle change with the e-clips I would suggest the second slot down from top.

105"s??  When I did the "Project 96" Magna the Dyna Jet kit had its own # system and 100 I believe is what is ended up with.  Was this a new kit?  Any chance someone supplied wrong main jets???  A 105 with the Dyna jet style aggressive needle would cause a flood situation.

Ok I will doThat Mr. Greg.I got the kit on ebay from a jentlemen from OH for $56.The kit does'not includet neadles and E clips.

I think there is some confusion over what kit you got.  At first you said it was jets and shims, then that it was a dynojet kit.  The advice that followed depends on what kit you actually got.  Could you post a link to the kit you bought, then we can all assure that you get good advice.

Here's some good reference info I stumbled on for carbs:

Jet Cross Reference: http://www.vtxoa.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244772

Keihin Carburetion Jetting: http://scootrs.com/tech.cfm?tip=tunecarb

For what it's worth, I've got a Factory Pro kit which comes with an adjustable needle similar to the Dynojet kit but I'm not sure that it's exactly the same (taper/diameter wise).  The jets that came with that kit are labeled 105 & 108 and I'm pretty sure the stock one says 102.  How that jibes with the info on the cross reference above for Keihin jets, I'm just not sure.  Are Honda jet numbers different (slightly) than those from Keihin or are Keihin 102.5's really labeled 102?  I'm running the 105 jet that came with the kit along with their adjustable needle (clip in the second position) and the bike runs just fine.  I did up the pilot to a 42 (as purchased from Honda), which improved initial throttle response and decreased decel popping.   I'm sure there are other differences in these two jet kits since the Factory Pro doesn't require drilling the slides.

there are some pictures of the jets  and needles.Actually the needles are ajustible and the E clip was on the 3 noch fron the front. The originall jets are 100's and 40's The new jets I have are 105's and 42's.Pease tell me wich set up I need for my bike with stock exaust and honda air filter.I puled of the cobra exaust and install stock exaust and honda air filter.

Can I use 105's and 42's with original exaust and air filter. In wish noch E clip shold be.The shims on the picture in front of the needle-do I need them or not.

I would start with the clip in the second position from the top.  The 105's & 42's should be fine as long as those are Honda jet sizes (not Dynojet jets).  Even with the stock exhaust, the 105's put you were the rest of the world starts from as only the North American Honda's had 102's on delivery.  Going one up on the pilots also doesn't hurt and may allow you to back down a little on the mixture screws.

wow, you were really rich there on the midrange... take out ALL shims (washers)
the bike orig. came with 40 pilots and 102 mains. that 42 pilot does not look like a Kehin jet, but it should be fine. If it was, it would have a 'k' printed on it next to the 42 somewhere. start with the clip on #2 from the top as suggested, remove all shims, reinstall your current jets. your slides have also been drilled from the looks of your picture which will affect how fast the needles are allowed to lift.  looks like someone goofed and had tried multiple jetting techniques and goofed big time.

the dynojet kit 100 from what greg said is ok. i've never used it. if you have the Kehin jet 105, then you could use that, but if you have the dynojet 105, i would not use that based on what greg has said. kehin jets will have a 'k' stamped into them. dynojets have a 'dj' on them. other brands either have no brand mark, or something different.

get rid of ALL shims - none were ever supposed to go on that side of the needle anyways, the reason there are shims is to bring the needle out further to release more fuel, so you would need to have them on the other side moving the needle up. you need no shims since you have an adjustable needle, and that needle has more taper causing even more fuel to flow than a stock bike. Edit: since I am not that familiar with the DJ setup, maybe greg or someone can chime in if that shim on the top of the needle is needed with that kit. i think not, but best to make sure.

Ok Mr. Chad I will do this . Can You tell me how many turns to do on a mixture with this set up-105's-42's and E clip on the 2'd sloth on the needle.

Chad in Michigan

you can try it out at 2.5 turns out from a light seat, that should be an ok starting point. make sure not to turn them in too hard because they can be damaged easily.
