I removed my endplates from my exhaust and lost backpressure and power when i roll the throttle. If i weld in 1.5/8 inch end pipes into the holes i created and cover up the holes where the rivets were will i regain my back pressure? and how will it affect the sound i created by removing everything.

why do all that when you could just change the jets in the carbs? you could go with a 105 main instead of a 102 main (factory stock) and 2 shims on the needles instead of 1 and you should be fine with a stock setup.

I am not a carb person hence i would most likely end up paying someone to rejet them costing me more money.

wait a minute here-- you can turn your bike into a hardtail, but you can't turn a few screws? YOU CAN DO IT! :)

Chad is right, Gooch.  This is not difficult at all.  Just follow the procedure at:

I did it, and it works like a charm!
