Ok so I have a Question what would be the widest tire to fit in there not because I want the widest it just seems the wider you get the better the tire from what I see like this one http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Bridgestone&tiremodel=Potenza+RE%2D01R or even this one
http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=Bridgestone&tiremodel=Potenza+RE%2D01R which even has a 155/80/15 !!!
This is the only tire on the above site I see in a 155/80/15 is the BFGoodrich Radial T/A® Tires
http://www.1010tires.com/tire.asp?tirebrand=BFGoodrich&tiremodel=Radial+T%2FA%AE
One of the issues is it is White Raised letter on one side only...

If the weather looks good next weekend I will bring by a check for the tire or I will mail it to you.  Which ever tire you try I will try the other one.

No problem Robert, I have you down for the other one.

What do you use to mount tires?  I have no equipment besides crowbars and screwdrivers, and don't want to ding up my rim.

I think Allen mounts them I do not know what he uses. I started with tire irons and stopped for the reasons you list.

Terry, since you have the tire mounting machine.. Are you going to start running a Rim Swap service??

Haha, not any sooner than you're going to make it to Texas!

The only drawback, per say is that it feels like the tire wobbles a bit on hard acceleration.
I think this is due to the tread pattern.

Interesting to see if other tires have this effect.

I haven't researched what Allen posted, when I was looking I didn't see the ones he mentions.

RWL is what I did not want, may be able to dye them.

On white walls there use to be a white layer under the outside, I thought, in other words you could not wipe it off.

Yeah, it would come off.  I used to have some stuff to make the letters whiter again (cuz that was cool in the 80's.  LOL)

roboto65

Wouldn't the oil on the ground from the auto-oil defeat the purpose??  :)

Allen carries his own supply of oil to drip on the ground around his rear tire!

He even makes sure its of quality to be poured out on the ground and not used in a highly engineered engine, ROYAL PURPLE!
