Hmmmm. Interesting. I wonder if the Big Shot mount is identical to the Fats mount ???

The first shot is what it looks like on the bike, the second is how it looks through the shield,mine is dirty right  now, I wouldn't recommend this shield in the summer as it blocks all of the wind unless it is cross wind. Works great in the winter to help keep the wind off and me warmer.

When I bought my bike it already had a Memphis Shades Fats shield on it.  I bought the Big Shot and adapter brackets and it mounts to the existing brackets on the fork tubes.  I can switch back and forth between the two very easily, but I ride with the Big Shot 99% of the time cause I just don't like the size of the Fats.

Couple things to keep in mind.  Since you have a VTX light, get the 9inch headlight opening (I think it's 9 inch vs. 7 inch).  Second thing, I tried the Big Shot for a while but found out that it didn't offer any more noticable protection then the smaller Pop Top.  Not only that, but the Pop Top looks better then the Big Shot (personal subjective opinion,,, I know).  As for difference between the Fats/Slim vs. Big Shot/PopTop I don't know as I just don't like the looks of the Fats/Slim enough to overcome the form vs. function thing.

I use a 19" Fats and it stays on 90% of the time even when it's 99 degrees outside.  I can sit up straight and see over the 19". My wifey doesnt like to ride without a windshield.  If I know she wont be riding for a while I'll put on the Magna Deluxe Fairing with the Laminar Lip which is awesome for solo riding.
