Dave let me know when you are leaving.  I may ride with you.

Just keep watching this post as it develops.

I hope some of the Dallas group will join in again. I jinxed the last one with Ms Vee falling apart on me mid trip.
You are not paid for what you do, but rather for what you will do and when that time comes, you will be highly underpaid.

If you ride over in the Bahamas be sure you stay on the correct (left) side of the rode.  I rented a scooter over there and forgot a couple times, nearly got ran over.

When I rented a car and drove in England years ago, I found it worked pretty well until I came to a corner.  Had to really concentrate to avoid turning into the wrong lane.  Did better than a colleague, though as we let off a British native (who had been driving the car), my colleague undertook to just drive the car around Heathrow airport to the rental car return.  Hit curbs three times in two blocks -- opposite curbs at that -- at which time I took over.

You also have to change your habits as a pedestrian.  When I undertake to cross the street, I look left before stepping out, then look to the right to cross the far lane.  The habit will get you killed in a country which drives on the left.

The funniest, though, was when a car stopped to let me walk across the street, and I smiled and waved my "thank you" to the left side of the car -- which was occupied by his wife, sweetheart, whatever.  Thought he was going to run over me anyway!!

A friend of mine went to Ireland last year and said that he had the same problem driving.  Said his biggest problem was traffic circles.

I went on a "Pub Tour" of England years ago.  I declined the option to rent a car for the non-drinking times just because of the traffic circles.  I had this fear of getting sucked into Picadilly Circus and being stuck there for days.

I am planning on making this ride and my neighbor wants to tag along on his Hyabusa.  I told him he is welcome but not to expect us to keep stopping and waiting on him.
