Lately I have been too busy to post or work on my bikes.

Here is what I did the last few weeks.

When going through deep creeks, rivers or other bodies of water if the bike died it can easily suck water into the crankcase or starve for fuel as the crab vent hoses are under water.

For the carburetor I ran 2 of the 4 vent lines under the seat.

For the crankcase breather tube I Tee' d into the breather line halfway up and ran a line up under the tank towards the front. Springs are put into the line to prevent the hose from collapsing in the tight bends and the hose not being rigid in it's shape.

Installed a larger tank, old tank is on the seat.

For this tank to fit I had to locate tank shrouds from a YZ model.

My tool bag with fuel would slide around because of the weight of the fuel.

Made the bag a rigid bottom plate, added foam to cover the screw heads and put rails on the bottom to fit between the rungs on my luggage rack.

Bottom plate screwed to the bag.

Foam for the bottom.

Screwed the rails on.

In the garage it feels solid. Now when I wrap bungee cords over the top it should not move.

With the different tank came another issue, the kick starter would hit the tank in it's resting position.

Fabricated a plastic piece for the kick lever to rest on.

I did not not forget the Berrymans in place of Seafoam.

Glued onto the tank.

Kick start lever in resting position.

Next is I need to see how fast I'm going.

Bicycle computer time.

Cut into the hub a little to add support when in mud or equal, use JB Weld as the adhesion and tapered the leading edge to reduce friction when something hits the magnet.

The magnet supplied is weak so I purchased some stronger ones.

Sensor wire was too short so I lengthened it to accommodate the bike. Simple to place anywhere on your handlebars, I left enough wire to locate the unit to the other side if needed. Held on by double sided tape and an O-Ring that goes under your handlebars from one clip on the unit to the other.

With a 1/4 turn the brains will come off with ease to put it in your pocket, this has a backlight for night driving, avg speed, max speed, similar to a what a GPS would provide........which is next.

I went up one tooth on the countershaft sprocket, waiting to see how this performs now. Did the fork seals, checked the valves, getting close to where I want it.

That is looking very good.
One day I may want to get a dirt bike again.

What have you decided to do to keep the gas from boiling?

You remember huh...  :P

I may add some of the foil tape to the bottom, thinking about that the last couple of days.
